Sean and I have been busting on Tom to go to Temple for the longest time. I came across this photo and thought I would tell everyone what Tom was really thinking... Ah, I miss the courts E3.

Coup in Mauritania

I was personally interested in learning more about the recent coup in Mauritania. I worked on a few projects for the country when I was at the World Bank a few years ago.

When I was there I blogged about the Heavily Indebted Poor Country and have tracked the country for some time. It's unfortunate that the 3 million inhabitants could not have used a more democratic way to oust their President Maaoya Sid'Ahmed Taya. This coup, I think, has serious implications for the future oil production in the country and leads to uncertainty regarding suspected Islamist radicals and their possible link to terrorism.

Peter Griffin?

So recently it came to my attention that this student "named" Peter Griffin bears an uncanny resemblance to Peter Griffin, the father on the cartoon Family Guy.

Just to clear things up, this is a fake.

Apple's New Mouse


Apple came out with a new mouse! Although I don't personally use a mac, I appreciate the way they really push the envelope with innovative ideas. It makes perfect sense that a mouse should not have to scroll linearly.
